We are seeking to recruit a postdoctoral fellow to lead inter-disciplinary collaborative projects jointly supervised by Dr. Dey and Dr. Vierbuchen.
- Develop new analytical approaches and machine learning models for integrating data from disease GWAS and WES with state-of-the-art data from stem cell development and genome-scale CRISPR perturbation screens.
- Apply systems genetics and integrative genomics approaches to identify molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying differentiation trajectory, cell fate specification and function.
- Work with stem cell biologists in the Vierbuchen Lab using single cell genomic profiling and perturbation techniques in neural organoid models to understand gene regulatory networks controlling cell fate specification during brain development.
We welcome applications from candidates with an interest in human genetics, single cell genomics, computational biology, genetic screens, and cellular models of tissue development and disease. Prior experience in statistical genetics and single cell genomics would be ideal but is not required. Strong quantitative skills are also a plus.
The Sloan Kettering Institute for Cancer Research is located on the Upper East Side of New York City. It is part of the vibrant Tri-Institutional Research campus adjacent to Rockefeller University and Weill Cornell Medical College. Sloan Kettering offers competitive postdoc salaries and convenient subsidized housing.
