In my first research experience, I was trying to crystallize a methyl group transferase. It was the first time I had attempted to purify protein, though I didn’t get it to crystal form. But science is all about testing an idea — and that is what I like most about it. I want to become a scientist because I like the feeling of trying to understand the unknown questions. My research is about how a cell duplicates its entire genome. I am lucky that at Gerstner Sloan Kettering my fellow students and the staff are really close, so we can discuss everything that might be of assistance to me. GSK is a young, rapidly growing force that is full of potential.
