The annual Pharmacology Graduate Program Retreat is held each spring outside of New York City and features talks by 3rd and 5th year students and a poster session for other students and postdocs. The 2008 retreat was held on May 2-3 at the Skytop Lodge & Resort in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. Members of the Tan Lab presented their chemical biology research on diversity-oriented synthesis and rational drug design. The scientific meeting was complemented by a wide range of activities, including the annual student/faculty basketball game, golf, fishing, croquet, archery, and trap shooting!
