I completed my undergraduate study in biology at the Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China, where I started my research to elucidate protein structures and functions. This valuable hands-on experience inspired me to study the molecular basis underlying biological processes using biochemical and biophysical tools. GSK offers everything I was looking for in a graduate program. The curriculum is comprehensive and flexible. I feel strong support from the program and I appreciate the interdisciplinary collaborative research communities with both The Rockefeller University and Weill Cornell Medicine. As a graduate student at GSK, I have the chance to work with a group of active and intelligent scientists in different fields and I always learn and grow from my day-to-day interactions with the faculty, postdocs, and fellow students. Furthermore, living in Manhattan allows me to explore world-class museums, concerts, theater, and restaurants, which helps me to balance my personal life and scientific pursuit.
