I am a research technician in the Chiosis lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I am currently assisting post-doctoral scientists in investigating drugs targeting the epichaperome for the treatment of cancer and neurodegeneration. In these projects, I perform numerous biochemical assays that measure the potency of these compounds and assays that study thermal stabilization of proteins upon ligand binding of drugs to measure target engagement in cells (CETSA). In addition, I perform experiments involving drug administration in mice and the evaluation of drug concentration in tumors, plasma and other tissues. I maintain proper operation of the laboratory through upkeep of sterile cell culture, maintenance of transgenic mice colonies, and preparation of reagents and buffers.
