Kayleigh is a Computational Biologist in the Papaemmanuil Lab, where she collaborates with clinicians to analyze targeted sequencing data for somatic mutations driving various blood cancers, as part of the Center for Hematologic Malignancies. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Genetics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and went on the complete her Medical Science Honors in Bioinformatics under the supervision of Prof Nicola Mulder, focusing on systematic computational approaches for drug repositioning at scale. She obtained her Masters degree in Bioinformatics from Boston University in 2017, and prior to joining the Papaemmanuil Lab was a Bioinformatician at the Harvard School of Public Health, where she analyzed high throughput transcriptomic data (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, single cell) as a member of the Harvard Bioinformatics Core. |
