Arushi graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences in 2020. She joined a two-year early talent program at AstraZeneca, where she worked on developing cell lines and derivation processes for stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes, targeting post-infarction cardiac remuscularization, as well as stem cell-derived lower airway models for disease modeling and drug discovery. Following her move to New York City, Arushi joined the Huangfu Laboratory as a technician, where she has focused on developing CRISPRi screening platforms in stem cell-derived and primary islet cells.
