I am a medical oncologist and hematologist who specializes in caring for people with blood cancers who are undergoing blood or bone marrow stem cell transplantation or who are receiving cellular therapies such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy. My clinical research has primarily focused on improving outcomes for patients by introducing new approaches to help reduce the side effects and toxicity associated with stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies. I also study ways to personalize the chemotherapy or immunotherapy that we give to patients prior to stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies to help reduce side effects and improve treatment outcomes.
As a member of the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Service and the Cellular Therapy Service, I am part of a multidisciplinary team of expert doctors and consultants. I am fortunate to share my practice with talented and dedicated nurses, advanced practice providers, nurse coordinators, social workers, and case managers who help me provide cohesive support and comprehensive treatment. Most importantly, I am committed to delivering compassionate, personal care. I aim to provide balance and clarity during an often stressful and complex journey for patients and their families.
