
The April 29 session of “MSK Science Spotlight” will feature a lecture from newly elected member of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), Scott Keeney, PhD. Dr. Keeney, a molecular biologist at SKI, investigates mechanisms of the initiation of meiotic recombination. His talk is titled, “How Do Little Chromosomes Know That They Are Little?”
Dr. Keeney is one of two SKI researchers to be recently elected to the NAS. The esteemed members are elected in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research and this membership is one of the highest honors bestowed upon scientists worldwide.
